Frances Roy Agency Awards First Roy Warner Memorial Scholarship to Rylee Lorenz
Valparaiso, FL - (May 23, 2025) - The Frances Roy Agency proudly announces Rylee Lorenz as the first-ever Roy Warner Memorial Scholarship recipient. The $1,500 award was presented to Lorenz during a heartfelt ceremony in Loudon, Tennessee, ahead of what would have been Roy Warner’s birthday on May 23.
A senior at Loudon High School in Loudon, Tennessee, Lorenz is a four-year varsity basketball starter, part-time ice cream shop employee, and coach for a sixth-grade girls’ travel basketball team. She will begin her nursing degree at South College on June 24, 2025, attending year-round to become an RN-BSN, with a goal of working in pediatrics.
“Rylee exemplifies the kind of person my Papaw Roy believed in—someone who works hard, leads with heart, and serves with quiet purpose,” said Shantelle Dedicke, President and Chief Creative Officer of Frances Roy Agency. “This scholarship is our way of honoring his life and legacy, and in Rylee, we see the same values that shaped our family—resilience, faith, humility, and integrity.”
The scholarship check was presented to Lorenz by Roy Warner’s grandson, Roy Lee Warner II, and his family, including Jodie Warner, Research Coordinator at Frances Roy Agency. The ceremony marked a deeply personal moment for the Warner family, who created the scholarship to celebrate Roy Warner’s enduring legacy as a craftsman and family man.
In her winning essay, Lorenz shared, “Healthcare offers a chance to impact lives with kindness, reflect my faith, and potentially save lives through my work.” Her dedication and spirit reflect the values that define the scholarship’s mission.
The Roy Warner Memorial Scholarship was established in 2024 to support students pursuing trade school education in fields that require hands-on skills, deep discipline, and a commitment to service, such as healthcare, construction, and the creative trades.
